Looking back in time up until today it’s interesting how one of the top questions we’ve been asked is if anesthesia is safe for children during dental procedures, which has evolved into a main focus of our practice today, so we thought we’d touch on this area more.
Out of the gates we have to answer the question: Yes, anesthesia is safe for pediatric dental procedures if implemented by an experienced anesthesiologist with many successful outcomes under their belt. Additionally, “safe” is a very subjective term and we can objectively infer that a pediatric anesthesiologist that has performed 50k procedures will likely be better than someone that has experienced only 500.
Unfortunately, the biggest weight falls on the shoulders of parents who are tasked with researching who’s going to take care of their kid and do so in the best, most caring and effective way while navigating all of the nightmares associated with the medical field and insurance companies. However, there are no problems, only solutions and we are always here to help!
